Front Entrance Improvements

The Concept of a “Grand Entrance” was first imagined from a Campus Landscape Master Plan by JKMD Inc in 1994. In the year 2001 we were called as the prime architect to provide the hardscape and softscape improvements from the Naniloa Loop entrance to Mackay Foyer that also included a new round-a-bout.

Our hardscape design included the signage, walls, caps, columns, special roadway treatment, the seat walls and stage at the Great Lawn area / Flag Circle.
The Canary Island Palms were grown in the Campus Nursery in 1994 specifically for this purpose. The team included a Civil, Structural and Electrical engineers.
