National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific - Punchbowl

The Design Team’s scope of work was to renovate and make improvements to the Memorial’s Main Courtyard and Stairway, Chapel and Building, Courtyards of the Missing, Ex. Restrooms, and all surrounding areas. The Team had previously worked on the new award –winning Vietnam Memorial and the Chairlift project and is contracted to design the new Interpretive Center in
2019-20.

Our scope of work included re-designing the landscape to bring it back to a resemblance of the original design of the 1960’s. All plants utilized were drought tolerant; we thereby re-designed the irrigation to use low flow type sprinklers to minimize surface run-off and to reduce water costs. This has caused plants to flower more profusely and thereby be more presentable.
